Have you heard of Imago therapy? Or perhaps of the book,Getting the Love you Want by Harville Hendrix? They are the same thing. Imago therapy is based on the Imago theory of relationship as developed and explained by Dr. Hendrix in the book. Oprah Winfrey is a big supporter of Imago Therapy, having had Dr. Hendrix on her show 17 times.
In this site, I will endeavour to explain the concepts behind Imago theory in as straightforward a language as possible. It is a very elegant explanation of what happens to us when we are in a loving relationship with someone (including why we picked that person in the first place) but it has many facets. My approach will be to explain small pieces at a time, building to a full and deep understanding of Imago theory. To learn more, start by clicking on the Imago 101 page link on the sidebar.
